Where two elder millennials and one opinionated adventure dog attempt to travel the world with enthusiasm, snacks, and a healthy disregard for adulting responsibilities.
Think of us as your slightly less put-together travel aunties. We’ve mastered the art of finding great views, local treats, and ways to justify naps as “immersive cultural experiences.” Expect a mix of awe-inspiring adventures and the occasional “we should’ve just stayed in the car” moments. We travel with the wisdom of experience and the knees of people who have had too much experience.
Then there’s Tilly, our four-legged copilot. She’s the real star of this operation. Always judging our life choices from the backseat while demanding snack breaks and sniffing stops. She loves the beach, hates the rain, and has strong opinions about hotel pillows.
Kira captures the world one stunning photo at a time, while Emily “helps” by popping into every shot like an uninvited extra. Emily loves hunting small-town art galleries and convincing herself she’s cultured while buying clearance-bin prints she insists are “underrated.” Together, we turn every trip into an art exhibit…mostly of outtakes.
Emily happily lives inside Google Docs, where she fills pages with notes, travel plans, and Kira’s not-so-helpful comments. Kira still gets “inspired” from time to time, and Emily mostly tolerates it. After “the Incident” (easily two or three blog posts), Emily revoked Kira’s solo planning privileges. Expect adventures that balance thoughtful planning, mild chaos, and plenty of entertainment.
We have zero interest in being influencers. So don’t expect perfectly staged photos of us staring off into the distance pretending to have deep thoughts about life. Of course, you’ll see us in some photos, usually laughing, windblown, or chasing after Tilly. Our goal is to share the real stuff, the places we visit, the experiences we love, and the joys and occasional disasters of travel with your best friends, whether they have two legs or four.
This is not our full-time gig. Like most working people, we have jobs, limited PTO, and budgets that require us to get creative with our plans. So …. what you’ll find here are realistic travels for people who still have to request time off, stretch a dollar, and find joy in the simple adventures that fit between staff meetings and Monday mornings.
